Abbott and Costello Go to Mars: Bud and Lou are cruising through space with gangsters that are on the run. They find themselves making a landing on Venus, a world populated with beautiful ladies wearing very little. Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Robert Paige, Mari Blanchard, and Horace McMahon are your main cast members. Charles Lamont directs (1953 Comedy)
Dying Young: Aimless youthful lady retorts a newspaper ad and gets to be nurse/friend to a 28-yearold meager-little-opulent-boy who’s agonizing from leukemia; useless to affirm, they fall in love. As car for Roberts’ charms, it works; as love tale it has its minutes; however as a tearjerker it by no means seriously transfers, drifting toward an inconclusive and unsatisfying finale. Scott shares a few scenes with his genuine-life mom, Dewhurst. Cast includes Julia Roberts, Scott, Vincent Donofrio, David Selby, and Ellen Bursty. (105 minutes, 1991)
They Still Call Me Bruce: In-name-only continuation to They Call Me Bruce has a minimum of one thing in ordinary with its predecessor: it’s terrible. This time Yune plays a Korean looking for the American GI who spared him years ago, ending up as an alternative as a large-sibling compute for orphan Mendenhall. Cast includes Johnny Yune, David Mendenhall, Pat Paulsen, Joey Travolta, Robert Guillaume, Bethany Wright, and Carl Bensen. (91 minutes, 1987)
For Heaven’s Sake: Screamingly ludicrous quiet comedy has Lloyd a youthful tycoon whose torch on Rajston empowers him to help allure “clients” for her dad’s Bowery Mission. Even The French Connection hasn’t dulled the luster of Lloyd’s pinnacle on L.A. roads. Cast includes Harold Lloyd, Joy Ralston, Noah Youthful, James Mason, and Paul Weigel. (78 minutes, 1948)
Down to the Bone: Performing-style lady tries to keep her family and home intact when fueling a cocaine addiction. Going through rehabilitation helps her meet John Walsh. The title personality Ross, a Wisconsin local who comes to N.Y.C. to make his fortune, is immediately attracted to a battling musician Thome, who is already engaged with somebody.
